DETOXAMIN or KELATOX PROTOCOL

Please note that the protocol for Detoxamin (750mg Ca-EDTA per rectal suppository) applies to Kelatox (900mg Ca-EDTA) as well. The difference between Detoxamin and Kelatox is that Kelatox has higher amount of EDTA yet it costs less. Kelatox is the latest chelation product on the market.

Detoxamin/Kelatox Protocol

Nov27/06

Suggested Use

Intelligent, whole body detoxification and rebuilding require the following: one month parasitic cleanse, 4 months Kelatox (or Detoxamin) and at least 6 months StemEnhance. For maintanence we suggest one Kelatox suppository per week and two StemEnhance per day.

It is recommended and safe to use Kelatox suppositories once nightly for about 120 days for a good detox, but you may need to use Kelatox for longer. If you know that you’re toxic, take one suppository every second day for the first 10 days for a gradual start (or even use only a half -- cut it into half with a kitchen knife). Use Kelatox 2-3 hours after your last meal to reduce metabolic competition, also try to have a bowel movement to clear out any excess matter prior to use. (Sandwich bags can be used for inserting the rectal suppository.) Take a good multi vitamin/mineral at least 6 hours separate from the Kelatox (morning & at noon) to replace essential minerals and to avoid competition. We suggest SONA or Health Genesis. Drink a good quantity of water to help with the flush of the toxins. The detoxification process is not harmed if you skip a day or two however the benefits will be delayed. Cleanse your intestinal tract, bowels, liver and kidneys of any excess matter. Indeed, we suggest a bowel cleanse (and/or a parasitic cleanse) first and then the Kelatox. Use a parasitic cleanse for at least a month (28 days) to cover the moon cycle. Parasites tend to be loaded with toxins. Eat a healthful diet as possible, such as (organic) fruits and vegetables while removing most or all processed foods. Foods high in additives, fructose, corn syrup, MSG, food coloring, etc. (plus smoking and alcohol) should be avoided.

Adverse Effects

The following symptoms are uncommon and usually transient: headache, light headedness, fatigue, nausea and a bit of rectal discomfort. Other negative effects that very rarely occur include nasal congestion or draining, dizziness, and a skin rash. Renal toxicity, such as found with IV EDTA is not present in suppository administration. The most common complaints are loose stool and gas experienced in the first few applications, which are simply signs your body is detoxifying. If negative symptoms are persistent, cut back in the administration either by administering it only every second day or cutting the suppository into half.

Precautions

Treatment with EDTA has been shown to cause a lowering of blood sugar and insulin requirements in patients with diabetes who are treated with insulin. Diabetic patients should check their insulin and glucose levels during EDTA treatment. Adverse side effects are rare. Kelatox exhibits no known adverse renal, hepatic, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal or nervous system effects. Safe use of EDTA in pregnancy has not been established with respect to adverse effects on fetal development. Kelatox should not be used by women who are or may become pregnant unless the potential benefits out weigh the possible hazards. However, we think that Kelatox should be used by every women (and men) a year before creating a new life (to significantly lower the chances of  having ‘developmentally challenged’ children).

Storage

Kelatox may be stored at average room temperature. You may store in the refrigerator but do not freeze. If subjected to higher room temperatures, store right side up in the refrigerator for 45 minutes before using.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

It is suggested to have a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis every six months.

Minerals are involved in more physiological functions than any other basic nutrients we consume, including carbohydrates, fats, proteins and vitamins. In fact, there are 96 times more minerals by weight in our bodies than vitamins. By comparing the different mineral testing methods (blood, teeth, liver biopsy, urine, hair), many scientists agree that hair tissue mineral analysis is the method of choice.

Cardiovascular Pathology and Selected Minerals

High cadmium or low copper and low chromium level or increased calcium/magnesium ratio in the tissues indicate the prevelance of cardiovascular diseases.

Cadmium doubled the systolic blood pressure in experimental animals (1). Hypertensive subjects excrete 5 to 10 times more cadmium than their normotensive counterparts, while no difference was indicated in the excretion of any other minerals (2).

There is a strong indication of chromium deficiency as a causative factor in artherosclerosis and coronary heart disease associated with diabetics (adult onset diabetes mellitus). According to Dr. Abraham, chromium supplementation helps removing artherosclerotic plaques (3).

Copper is needed for the activation of the lysil oxidase enzyme. Reduced or inhibited lysil oxidase enzyme activity leads to diminished stability and strength of aortic elastin and bone collagen (4). According to Klevay, copper deficiency in our diet is a major contributor leading to ischemic heart disease (5).

Elevated calcium/magnesium ratio in hair mineral analysis (e.g. 16:1 instead of the normal 8:1 Ca/Mg ratio) indicates calcium deposition that may lead to arteriosclerosis and nephrolithiasis (kidney or urinary stones) (6). Magnesium supplementation may be of therapeutic in this case.

Hair tissue mineral analysis gives an excellent picture of a person's (or animal's) tissue mineral levels. This data may then be used to direct the health professional towards a possible metabolic displacement when the process is still reversible. The data is used at a much earlier stage (!) than the appearance of a pathological condition recognized by most doctors. This information can help us to avoid the development of chronic diseases and the use of prescription drugs.

As a nutrition-oriented health professional, I emphasize the importance of not only the value of disease prevention, but also seeking information that may have a predictive value. Hair analysis provides this kind of "early warning information". It can indicate possible excesses and deficiencies, furthermore give valuable information about metabolic changes. Hair tissue mineral analysis is a valuable test for those who emphasize the importance of nutrition in disease prevention and maintenance of good health.
