Cold or Flu?

Linus Pauling’s advice stands as the best ever heard: "at the very first sniffle, cough or sneeze, take a big dose of vitamin C powder in water or juice. When it happens to me, I head straight for the kitchen and take a couple of teaspoons (about 10,000 milligrams or 10 grams!). This is called a “loading dose.” The intention is to promptly ingest as much vitamin C as you can without having loose bowels. The level when diarrhea starts developing is also called "bowel tolerance".
Everyone, even kids, can learn what their particular “level” is. It works.


Cold or Flu or Sinus Infection?

Old Granny's cure - The Wet Sock Treatment

First, soak your feet in hot water for 15 to 20 minutes until they are red hot. Then, put on cold wet cotton socks. Cover them with dry wool socks and go to bed. When you awake in the morning, your feet will be warm and dry and your head congestion, sore throat and other symptoms will be gone or greatly reduced due to the improvement of your circulatory system.

Why don't you combine this treatment with the previously mentioned Pauling's vitamin C advice.


Peptic Ulcer Remedy?

Garnett Cheney, M.D. had 100 peptic ulcer patients drink four glasses of raw cabbage juice daily. The patients reported dramatically less pain, and X-ray examination confirmed faster healing time. There was no other change in their diet, and they did not have drug therapy. 81% of the patients were symptom-free within one week; over two-thirds were better in just four days. The average healing time for patients given standard hospital treatment was over a month. Cabbage juice worked well for other types of ulcers, also. (Cheney, G., "Vitamin U Therapy of Peptic Ulcer," California Medicine, Vol. 77, Number 4, October, 1952).

No, that was NOT a misprinted year up there. Yes, that date was 1952. A study does not have to be new to be valuable. Ulcers haven’t changed any, and neither has cabbage.


Hot Dogs lead to Cancer?

Children who eat hot dogs once a week double their risk of a brain tumor. Youngsters eating other cured meats, such as ham, sausage and bacon, had an 80 percent higher risk of brain cancer. This study was done at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kids eating more than twelve hot dogs a month (that's barely three hot dogs a week) have nearly ten times the risk of leukemia as children who ate none. This research was done at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles. But here is the very important good news: Children who ate hot dogs and other cured meats, but who also took supplemental vitamins, had reduced cancer risk. Irregular menstrual cycles?

Try eating a few tablespoons of wheat germ daily. Ladies can put it on breakfast cereal, or on ice cream, and it's not bad. Make sure the wheat germ is fresh, or vacuum packed. I am not saying that this is the sure answer, but it is a harmless method to try. See a doctor if the problem persists.


Dental Amalgam Fillings and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)

A German study indicated a correlation between A German study indicated a correlation between Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and the number of mercury/silver amalgam fillings in the mother. "The mercury levels in the liver, kidney cortex, and the cerebral cortex of the fetuses and the children correlated significantly with the number of dental amalgam fillings of the mother." It reveals one more method of damaging a person's immune system. Nothing seems to be a simple cause and effect. The mercury is one stressor. The fact that the mother needed fillings suggests that her diet has not been close to perfect for years. Strike two. Then when her child gets those DPT shots in the first year of life, the added stressor to his truncated immune system is enough to cause apnea and death. Strike three. You're out. Killing bugs with orange-oil

The discovery (or, more likely, rediscovery) of the insect-repelling properties of orange oil appears to have been made at an oranges-to-orange-juice processing facility down South in the US, home to (among other things) fire ants, a species of insect noxious to humans and other animal life.

Workers at the juice factory threw out a quantity of orange peel, which more or less covered a fire-ant nest. On removing the peels for final disposal, it was observed that the fire ants beneath were dead. Investigation traced the effect to the oil in the orange peels.

With repeated application, ants, other creeping critters, and even some houseplant pests will stay away. Some of the little buggers even die when directly sprayed with it! And, not only is orange oil generally environmentally safe, but it smells good, too!

You can buy orange-oil spray in most natural-food stores or some
regular grocery stores. But at most stores it's usually labeled as a "grease cutter," or "air freshener." The labels say nothing at all about using it as bug repellant or "bugicide." The lack of label has nothing to do with how effective the sprays are at getting rid of bugs.


Honey Beats Superbugs

As hospital acquired infections soar, and bacteria become resistant to the last resort antibiotics, researchers come to the rescue with startling discoveries on an ancient remedy.

Aaron Phipps nearly died of bacterial meningitis. His lower legs and fingertips were amputated because of septicaemia (blood poisoning). Numerous skin grafts failed to heal his wounds. Nine months had passed with no cure for the infected lesions around his bone-protruding sores. The smell alone was enough to terrify the brave teenager. Luckily, his nurse contacted the University of Wales, Institute of Cardiff where experiments with honey as a wound dressing were underway. The effect of honey on Aaron’s body was almost immediate. Honey acts as both bacteriostatic, slowing down microbial growth, and bactericide, killing it. It also assists in new tissue growth. The young man said, "The honey healed my legs enough to start wearing artificial limbs."

Honey is mentioned in ancient medical texts. Aristotle recommends that honey collected in specific regions and seasons should be used for treating particular ailments. Honey has been known as a remedy for burns for thousands of years, but only recently revealed its potential for completely inhibiting the growth of some of the most infectious, drug-resistant pathogens.

One of these "superbugs" is Staphylococcus aureus, the predominant agent of wound infections in hospitals. Stories abound of wards closed due to MRSA or methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureaus. Its multi-drug resistant reputation grows as strains emerge which are resistant to the last-resort antibiotic, vancomycin [4]. There are 100,000 cases of hospital-acquired infections reported in the UK every year, with 5,000 deaths. It is very good news that S. aureus is sensitive to the antibacterial activity of honey.

Seven species of bacteria found in wound infections were tested against a variety of honey. Results showed that honey diluted 10-fold completely inhibited the growth of S. aureas and all other bacteria tested. One type of honey, Manuka, made from the flower essences of the Manuka Tree (Lepospermum scoparium) or Tea Tree, was noticeably more effective in inhibiting S. aureus even when diluted with 54 times its volume of fluid. Manuka Tree is a small tree or shrub that grows abundantly throughout New Zealand, and was named by Captain Cook. The properties of this tree are known to some inhabitants and indigenous Maoris, who use the leaves as bitter tea, similar to green tea. Cooled tea is used for treating burns, and vapour from hot tea clears head colds. Only compounds of a few of the 85 Lepospermum genus contribute to "active" manuka honey used in clinical trials and produce the "unique manuka factor" (UMF) that stops the superbug. This was advertised on two company websites, one in New Zealand, and the other in the UK.

Honey is 80% simple sugars, glucose and fructose and 20% water. It contains vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K and many minerals, and essential oils and flavonoids contribute to its healing properties. Most honeys contain some hydrogen peroxide thought to contribute high antibacterial activity, but manuka honey does not have peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide in honey is made by glucose oxidase enzyme added by the bees that becomes activated by contact with water. In commercial honey, this element is inactivated by exposure to heat. Honey has a pH of between 3.2 and 4.5, acid enough to inhibit or stop the growth of many species of bacteria. The sugar acts like a water magnet pulling water away from bacteria by osmosis.

The Honey Research Unit at Waikato University, New Zealand, is led by British honey pioneer Dr Peter Molan MBE. He has worked for 20 years on the antimicrobial properties of honey and the ways in which it effectively treats medical conditions naturally. In an article promoting manuka honey on the website of the company, Manukahoney, Molan states, "For over 10 years, I have scientifically investigated what many local New Zealanders have accepted as common wisdom: our local manuka honey is a superior treatment for wounds and infections. Manuka honey is gathered in New Zealand from the manuka bush, Leptospermum scoparium, which grows uncultivated throughout the country. (More recently, as a result of systematic screening of Australian honeys, a honey with the same properties has been found to be produced from Leptospermum polygalifolium, which grows uncultivated in a few parts of Australlia [sic].)" The article listed seven publications co-authored by Molan in scientific journals dating from 1992.

In practice, covering a skin lesion with honey is a messy process, so Molan created a rubbery wound dressing constructed entirely from manuka honey. Placed directly onto the wound, it can be moulded or cut to fit any shape.

The Unit claims to have found that manuka honey acts as bacteriocide against streptococci (sore throats), fungal infections like athlete’s foot, Candida albicans and bacteria that cause gut infections. It is also effective against the bacterial species causing mastitis in cattle, a major loss of milk production worldwide. Honey is a food preservative in combination with the milk enzyme lactoperoxidase. Current research is focussing on the flavonoids in honey, its probiotic properties, effects on antibiotic-resistant organisms, protozoa and eczema. The Unit shares results with Dr Rose Cooper, a microbiologist at the University of Wales, Institute of Cardiff, where Dr Molan graduated in biochemistry. Laboratory tests at UWIC have demonstrated the potential of honey to inhibit bacteria isolated from wounds. Claire Dunford, clinical nurse specialist in tissue viability at Salisbury District Hospital, Wiltshire applied the research results to heal the teenager with meningococcal septicaemia.

Manuka honey is also found to be helpful against H. pylori bacteria, implicated in stomach ulcers. It appears that the bacteria are 5-10 times more sensitive to manuka than other honey and are completely inhibited in a 5% solution.

Although manuka honey is special, commercially available honeys have antimicrobial properties too, as found by a research team in Saudi Arabia after testing six varieties of honey bought from local supermarkets. Control "superbugs" used were S. aureus, E. coli and P. aeruginosa taken from bacteria isolated from hospital patients. The end point of antimicrobial activity was defined as the highest dilution (lowest concentration) of honey producing inhibition in the bacteria. Turkish honey is bacteriostatic against S.aureus at 50% dilution and Black Forest honey inhibits P. aeruginosa and E. coli at 50% dilution. All honeys tested retained anti-microbial activity after storage at 2-8degrees Centigrade for six months, and being boiled for fifteen minutes. This is a unique attribute of honey, as most antibiotics used to treat open wounds are unstable after heat treatment.


How to eliminate the pain of acute gout

Gout occurs when the body can't process and eliminate excess uric acid. The result is a painful burning or stabbing sensation usually in the ball joint of the foot.

According to Dr. Wright, the combination of low-dose lithium (10-15 milligrams twice daily) and vitamin C (2 grams twice daily) can be very effective in preventing recurrent attacks of gout. Vitamin C significantly reduces serum uric acid levels. Lithium makes uric acid more soluble so it doesn't crystallize into painful "needles." These two actions combine to significantly reduce gout attacks. If you have gout, he also recommends that you drink 32 oz. of cherry juice at the first sign of an attack. Just please make sure it's real cherry juice--no sugar added. Although no one is sure why or how it works, studies have shown that cherry juice usually eliminates the pain of acute gout.



How to eliminate calluses and cracked heels

Cracked, dry, bleeding heels can be gradually returned to normal by increasing your consumption of foods containing zinc and essential fatty acids, and by using these same nutrients in supplemental form for several months. Foods containing zinc and essential fatty acids include fish, unroasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and other unroasted nuts and seeds.

But until your heels heal, it's also a good idea to take supplemental zinc (in the form of zinc picolinate, 30 milligrams twice daily, along with 4 milligrams of copper daily), and 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil twice daily, accompanied by 400 IU of vitamin E as mixed tocopherols daily.

Don't be surprised if there's no improvement for at least a month or two, but the problem should be gone in six to eight months. At that point, try to taper down the supplements. But if the problem returns, it's perfectly safe to start them again.



Home Remedies Banish Warts

They come unbidden and without warning. They are ugly and sometimes hard to eradicate. Even the medical name is nasty: verrucae vulgaris.

Warts are caused by any of 60 strains of the human papillomavirus. Children are especially susceptible, but anyone can develop this common infection. The hands and feet are prime targets.

Dermatologists might prescribe acid plasters to gradually eat away at the rough tissue, burn them off with electrical cautery devices, freeze them with liquid nitrogen or remove them with a laser. Even with such high-tech treatment, many warts return time after time.

One reader pleaded: "I am going nuts with warts on my hands. I have had them removed by doctors and they return. The wart 'paints' work, but the warts come back. Do you know of any old timey cures or anything I could try?"

That is why home remedies are so appealing to people. No one understands why the mind is so powerful in ridding the body of this unwanted virus. For centuries techniques like "buying" the warts with a shiny new penny have been amazingly effective. Even doctors have utilized "magical spells" to relieve their younger patients of this plague.

Over the years we have collected a lot of wart remedies. Here are some of our favorites.

  1. "Take a banana peel and cut a round piece the size of the wart. Put the inner side next to the wart and tape it on with surgical tape. Change this every day with a fresh piece of banana peel. It may take a week or so to see results."
  2. A nurse sent us the following remedy: "Peel the skin off a potato as thin as possible. Take a small piece of potato skin and rub the POTATO side on the wart twice a day. In one or two weeks the wart will turn black and fall off.

    There is apparently a chemical in the potato near the skin which kills the wart. I have used this for warts large and small on several people, and it never fails."

  3. Another person offers a doctor-recommended remedy: "Clear nail polish works for warts. My dermatologist told me to try it. I gave up after a short time because it was tedious to apply it every day. But when our dog developed a huge wart, I put a coat of polish on daily and within a week the thing flaked off."

    The nail polish approach has been around for a while. Another reader relates: "When I was a freshman in college my biology professor said that warts could be removed by 'smothering' them with frequent applications of nail polish or heavy cold cream.

    "I had my first wart then and really hated it. Having no nail polish at the time, I used cold cream, applying it every time I was in my dorm room. It took about two weeks for the wart to disappear."

  4. Vinegar is another popular home remedy for warts. "I was plagued by a wart on my index finger. Because of the location, a physician said there was nothing to be done that wouldn't cause disfigurement.

    I soaked a piece of cotton in apple cider vinegar, put it on my finger and wrapped it with tape. In the middle of the night I woke up from a dead sleep. My wart was throbbing. The next day the wart was gone without disfigurement."

  5. Castor oil is another perennial favorite. "Just dab a little drop on the wart at night before bed and do the same each morning when you get up. Soon you'll find you have no wart to treat."


For Insomnia: a Hot Bath.

A hot soak about 90 minutes before bedtime will raise your core body temperature. The subsequent cool-down seems to encourage deeper sleep, researchers suggest.

For Overindulgence: Pineapple. Eat too much? This tropical fruit is loaded with an enzyme that aids protein digestion.

For Nausea: Ginger. It helped Danish women in a morning sickness study, and it may also prevent motion sickness. Try some ginger tea (hot water with diced ginger) about 30 minutes before your trip.

For Colds: Chicken Soup. Yes, Mom, you were right -- studies at Miami's Mount Sinai Medical Center show hot chicken soup really does have a beneficial decongestant effect. Better yet use our 112/24 hr. cold/flu remedy on main menu.

For Hangovers: Water. Drink plenty of water while you party, then more before bedtime to prevent dehydration from alcohol.

For Itchy Skin: Oatmeal or Baking Soda. Soaking in tepid water with a cup or two of oatmeal can soothe a myriad of irritations, including insect bites and sunburn, says UCLA Medical Center dermatologist Dr. Lenore Kakita. Also try a baking soda paste directly on the skin.

For Dandruff: Apply lime juice to scalp before every head bath.

For Urinary Infection: Cranberry Juice. It's even more effective than water for flushing bacteria out of the system. If you're prone to such infections, try a 10-ounce glass each day (dilute with water if you find it too acidic).

For Yeast Infection: Yogurt. Eating a cup a day can regulate your bacterial environment. Just make sure it says "live acidophilus cultures" on the label.

For Gas, abdominal pain Take a cupful of water with a pinch of baking soda and 2 TSF of lemon juice, stirr and give internally.

Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.


HICCUPS
These usually clear up spontaneously without treatment, but if it persists, you may try the following:

Give the child a spoon of granulated sugar to be swallowed dry. Using a spoon, tickle the back of the child’s throat causing the child to gag. Make the child drink a glass of water as slowly as possible. Some add a pinch of baking soda for a better effect. In older child if possible, make him hold his breath as long as he can or pull out the tongue as far as possible to trigger the gag reflex.


Homemade Heat Pack
One can also make a heat pack by stitching a cloth bag and stuffing it with dry white rice or salt. Microwave it for a few minutes each time you want to use it. Flexible and durable and the rice or salt holds the heat for quite a while.


WOUNDS
One has to act fast using whatever means are available. Avoid touching any wound with an unsterlized covering or your unscrubbed hands

1.The first step is to make the victim lie down to prevent fainting. Next proceed to stop bleeding by placing a gauge or cleanest cloth available over the wound and press it firmly with the palm of your hand. Change the dressing if it is saturated with blood Keep the dressing firmly in place but not so tight that you can not feel the pulse below or beyond the wound.

2.If the wound is on the head, neck, arm or leg and there is no suspected fracture, elevate it to a level above the heart to help stop the bleeding.

3.Application of ice bag ( ice cubes in a thick plastic bag ) directly over the bleeding area is also helpful

4.If the bleeding cannot be stopped by these measures, try shutting off the circulation in the main supply artery by pressing it firmly with your fingers against the underlying bone. The fingers should be kept straight and not curved.


BURNS
Apply (or soak in) white vinegar to the burn until the feeling of heat goes away.


Asthma is most commonly a result of allergy and can be distressing at times. Besides the medication, the following measures may provide quick relief. 1.Give a solution of onion juice ¼ cup, honey 1 tablespoon and black pepper 1/8 tablespoon . 2.Make a decoction of licorice and ginger, give ½ tablespoon in 1 cup of water. 3.Express the juice from garlic. Mix 10 – 15 drops in warm water and give internally.


Acne is a problem of teenagers and is mainly due to hormonal imbalance . Local application of any of these may be beneficial :
# Lemon juice.
# Cucumber --- leaves or grated pieces.
# Clove based face mask or a paste of Fenugreek ( Methi ) leaves applied overnight and washed off next morning.
# Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric ( Haldi ) powder to 1 teaspoon of mint or corriander juice. Apply and wash off before retiring to bed.
# Orange peel pounded well with water and applied to affected areas is often helpful.
# Drink at least a litre of water to impart a healthy glow to the skin.


Migrane Begone!

German researchers demonstrated that a 400 mg daily dose of riboflavin (vitamin B-2) may cut migraine frequency in half. And coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) was also shown to halve the frequency of migraines by promoting respiration in the powerhouses of the cell: the mitochondria.

Another natural cure is the celery juice. Juice up a bunch of celery and take 2 oz of juice whenever you feel a migraine is coming on. Then I lay down and within 30 minutes your migraine should start going away (most of the time). If your migraine doesn't go away, step two calls for another helping of celery juice, this time doubled to four ounces. The usual result? Some people report that they have never had to take a third dose. Try it!

People who have migraines know only too well how challenging the condition is. To make matters worse, a recent study has confirmed an association between migraine and elevated risk of ichemic stroke.

An international research team headed up by Royal Victoria and Vancouver Hospitals in Canada conducted a review of 14 individual studies to investigate a possible link between migraine and an increased risk of ischemic stroke. This type of stroke is caused by blood clots that obstruct blood flow to the brain. As reported in a recent issue of the British Medical Journal (2005), researchers assessed three cohort studies and 11 case-controlled studies. An analysis of the combined results indicated that patients with migraines are more than twice as likely to have an ischemic stroke compared to people who don't get migraines. The risk is slightly higher for those who experience aura (flash of lights), and slightly lower for those who have migraine without aura.

Researchers found this risk to be considerably higher if a migraine patient happens to be women who use oral contraceptives. Their risk may be as much as eight times greater than women without migraine.

One of the researchers - Ali Samii, M.D. - told Reuters Health that the study clearly indicates that, "migraine may be an independent risk factor for stroke." Dr. Samii notes that the reduced blood flow to the brain that accompanies migraines probably plays a role in triggering strokes.





Things your mother may or may not have told you:
  1. Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips.
  2. Use a meat baser to "squeeze" your pancake batter onto the hot griddle and you'll get perfectly shaped pancakes every time.
  3. To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.
  4. To prevent egg shells from cracking, add a pinch of salt to the water before hard-boiling.
  5. How to tell the difference between fresh and stale eggs? Place the egg in a bowl filled with cold water. If it sinks to the bottom, it's fresh. If it stands up but still remains on bottom, it's significantly less fresh, and if it floats, it's old. Fresh eggs also tend to have cloudy whites while old eggs often have watery, runny whites.
  6. Run your hands under cold water before pressing Rice Krispies treats in the pan and the marshmallow won't stick to your fingers.
  7. To get the most juice out of fresh lemons, bring them to room temperature and roll them under your palm against the kitchen counter before squeezing.
  8. To easily remove burnt on food from your skillet, simply add a drop or two of dish soap and enough water to cover bottom of pan, and bring to a boil on stove-top.
  9. Spray your Tupperware with non-stick cooking spray before pouring in tomato-based sauces and there won't be any stains.
  10. When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake.
  11. If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant "fix me up."
  12. Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks. (I bet this advise goes back to the time when aluminium and Alzheimer were not yet linked.)
  13. Brush some beaten egg white over pie crust before baking to yield a beautiful glossy finish.
  14. Place a slice of apple in hardened brown sugar to soften it.
  15. When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to help bring out the corn's natural sweetness.
  16. Don't throw out all that leftover wine: Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.
  17. If you have a problem opening jars: Try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.
  18. Potatoes will take food stains off your fingers. Just slice and rub raw potato on the stains and rinse with water.
  19. To get rid of itch from mosquito bites, try applying soap on the area and you will experience instant relief.
  20. Ants, ants, ants everywhere ... Well, they are said to never cross a chalk line. So get your chalk out and draw a line on the floor or wherever ants tend to march. See for yourself.
  21. Use air-freshener to clean mirrors. It does a good job and better still, leaves a lovely smell to the shine. (Warning! Air fresheners are toxins!)
  22. When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape over the splinter, then pull it off. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly and easily.


 Practical uses of H2O2Add 1/4 cup to a full sink of cold water. Soak light-skinned (like lettuce) 20 minutes, thicker skinned (like cucumbers) 30 minutes. Drain, dry and refrigerate. Prolongs freshness. If time is a problem, spray vegetables (and fruits) with a solution of 3%. Let stand for a few minutes, rinse and dry.Spray with a solution of 1/2 cup water and 1 Tbsp. 3%. Drain, cover and refrigerate.Keep a spray bottle in the kitchen. Use it to wipe off counter tops and appliances. It will disinfect and give the kitchen a fresh smell. Works great in the refrigerator and kid's school lunch boxes.Place meat, fish, or poultry in a casserole (avoid using aluminum pans). Cover with hydrogen peroxide. Place loosely covered in refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Rinse and cook.Add 2 ozs to your regular washing formula.Add 1 oz. to a pint of water and soak the seeds overnight. Add the same amount of hydrogen peroxide each time you rinse the seeds.Put 1 oz. in 1 quart of water. Water or mist plants with this solution.Put 1 oz. in 1 quart of water. Drinking water of ailing cows: To drench sick calves, put 1/3 pt. bottle and fill remainder with water. Do this twice a day. For an adult cow, use the same procedure, but use a quart.

Foliage feed crops: put 5 to 16 ozs. of 35% H2O2 into 20 gallons of water. This is sufficient for 1 acre. Spray on plants early in the morning when the dew is still on them and the birds are singing.

Hydrogen peroxide has been a recognized medicinal source since at least the 1800's, has gone into disrepute, and now seems to lie in a sort of limbo, so far as established medicine is concerned. What can your SKIN tell you?

Healthy skin does not have any irritations, pimples, boilers. It should be evenly colored, moderately moist, and feel good and firm to touch. Appearance of itching, pimples, painless or redness, increased dryness or oiliness, etc, indicates disorders. For example:
Itching- allergy. Pimples/ boils - increased toxicity. Paleness - anemia (lack of iron). Redness  - impaired circulation, increased blood pressure. Dryness- dehydration.
 

Due to imbalances of the skin, lungs and kidneys, it might happen that the skin stops performing its cleansing function. In that case, lungs and kidneys get overwhelmed with toxicity, whereas the skin stays clean and does not send any signals of existing problems.

 

What does your TONGUE say besides words?

This test should be done first thing in the morning after awakening. All you need is a mirror.

A healthy tongue does not have any coating. Its color is pink and even. Appearance of coating, change in color, cracks, increase of the tongues size, dryness, etc. suggest disorders in internal organs, especially in the digestive organs. Appearance of coating on the tongue- is a first signal, that digestive organs need cleansing.

 

Are you hungry?

Appetite is an important indicator of health or illness. A healthy appetite is a moderate need to eat simple, healthy products, which satisfy and fill the body. If the appetite is too strong- it might indicate irritation in the digestive system, such as gastritis, sugar imbalance in the blood or even parasites. If the appetite weakens- it might suggest indigestion or poisoning. Lack of appetite completely or disgust to food- is a sign of serious disorders in the body. In that case it is necessary to completely cleanse the digestive system, stop eating and wait for a real hunger.

A healthy body is full of energy and constant desire for doing, learning, and personal development. Reduction in energy, laziness, need for extra sleep - are signals of increased toxicity. Your body is signaling you a warning of an illness. Complete lack of energy for a prolonged time, can be a result of stress, depression or some serious illness.

Appearance of pain is a serious signal of bodily disorders. First signals tell about circulation disorder, accumulation of toxicity, exhaustion or physical disorder in the tissue and organs. Pain can also be caused by spread of infection in different organs.

As you can see, many methods can be used to determine what is going on in your body. I would like to provide you with more examples with the help of which you can determine your state of health. On purpose, I will not say what suggests health disorders and what means that you are in the good health. With time you will be able to determine which signal is good and which should warn you. Simple observation will teach you how tell good from bad and will give you all the necessary answers. So observe and make your own conclusions. Some things to look for:

Your Stool:  Dark, light, smell or no smell, light or hard, easily released or difficult, complete elimination or partial, regular (2-3 times per day) or not regular.

Saliva: Sticky, thick, dry, too much saliva or too little, no discomfort at all. 

Hair:  Thin, thick, falling off, dry, oily, hard or too soft, heavy or light. 

Nails:  Hard, soft, break easily, have white spots (lack of zinc), ridges, moons on each nail or not, pink, dark, brutal.

Sweat:  too much, too little, none at all, smell or no smell. 

Urine:  Dark, light, a lot, too little, often, rare, bad smell, no smell.

Sleep:  deep, fall asleep easily, sleep all night without waking up. VS. waking up often, don't sleep enough, go to the restroom often. Wake up easily feeling rested and energized for the whole day, or tired wanting to sleep more. Dreams: no dreams, good dreams, nightmares.

Pulse:  fast, slow, weak, strong, nervous, rhythmic, calm.

You can also use self testing by eyes, face lines, palms. You can use simple devices to measure blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.

Observe and memorize how you look when you feel good and fool of energy. It will help you notice changes, which are different from your normal state of health. These changes will signal you of possible disorders and you will be able to take appropriate actions to prevent serious problems.

Oxygen plays the main role in all processes in the body... It is food #1 for brain and cells; it is vital for proper and complete digestion as well as toxin neutralization, which accumulate in the system. More toxicity we have in the body-- more oxygen is used for it's neutralization-- less of it is left for other needs. Of course first of all, the body is trying to defend itself from toxins. Reduced oxygen levels in the blood creates a perfect environment for viruses, bacteria, infections and other parasites to grow and multiply, and creating better environment for illnesses to be born.
   Vice Versa... Less toxicity there is in the body--- more oxygen is accumulated in the blood--- least pleasant it is for parasites to live, meaning... less illnesses.
So, by testing how much oxygen is in your blood, means finding out how weak or strong your immune system really is.

   Oxygen reserves in the blood can be determined by: 

 1.  Sit down on edge of the chair. Relax. Back straight.    

2. Breath normally. After a short exhale. Use your
     right hand to hold your nose. Hold your breath.
 

 3.  Hold it until first discomfort-- this is called controlled pause. 
      Please do not confuse it with a maximal pause! Maximal pause is
      when you hold your breath to the maximum--it should be 2 times
      longer than controlled pause.

* * * Time of the pause determents how much oxygen you have in reserves of your blood, which at the same time determents reserves and strength of the whole body; its level of health and strength of immune system.

Determine your body’s ability to resist cancer

Cancer cells always develop and grow in the human body. However, a healthy immune system immediately destroys and does not allow them to reproduce and grow into an illness. A simple method exists to determine your immune system's ability to resist reproduction of cancer cells.

It is best to do this test in the morning on empty stomach, or 2-3 hours before the test you may eat some kefir or plain yogurt. Meanwhile, take an organic red beet, wash it and peel the skin. Make 4 oz of juice from it and put in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Then, dilute that juice with 4 oz of filtered, room temperature water and drink the substance. Two to three hours after you drank the juice/water combination, collect your urine and look at its color.

If the urine is light color or just a little brownish and cloudy-- your immune system is pretty strong and does not allow cancer cells to reproduce. If your urine is pink or red-- the immune system is weak and your body developed a good environment for cancer cells to grow. You can strengthen your immune system through complete cleansing of your digestive system, liver and lymph cleansing, and if necessary- fasting.

So if you do have that predisposition, it is important to repeat this test once per month. If there is no suspicion to the problem, you may repeat the test every 3 months or more if desired.

  

Conclusion 

When our body becomes congested, it begins sending signals of accumulated toxicity and improper functioning of internal organs.  Most of us have been told by adults to ignore aches and pains because they will pass on their own. And that is true...or partly true.

Aches, pain and discomfort are the body's scream for help. When the body sends us a signal of a disorder and we just ignore it, after time it stops sending these important signals. So pain or discomfort disappear, but the problem stays. The problem does not go away, it grows stronger turning into illness without any further signals. And unfortunately, it often happens that it comes up to the surface when it is too late.

So please remember the golden rule of keeping the good health--
Pay attention to your body. Do not be deaf and blind when it is asking you for help. Do not miss those very first, important signals your body sends. Give your body all the necessary help on time. And the very first rescue, which does not allow growth of the illness, is CLEANSING, especially the removal of toxic heavy metals (mercury, lead) that are the most critical toxins, good diet, juice therapy, and if necessary--fasting.

If you do not have an injector, start out by using 1 tsp. 35% H2O2 in the drinking cup at the stanchion.Use 1 pt., to 5 gallons of water.
